Welcome to our website. This year English II classes began the year with a unit of short stories. We have new workbooks this year that should help TAKS test scores. We utilize these exercises on a weekly basis. Students are responsible for vocabulary every Monday. They also have library books checked out that they must read and discuss with me as I randomly visit with them about their books. We are writing and continuing to do all we can to prepare for TAKS tests in February.
English IV began the year by doing a study of Homer and his works. We have completed projects over a mythology unit and are not reading The Children's Homer to prepare for more projects based on this novel and the history of this work. We will probably spend most of the first semester covering this material.
