The Tulia ISD Board of Trustees is proud to announce that Tim Glover has been selected as the Tulia ISD Superintendent of Schools. The Board was pleased and encouraged to have consideration of a number of highly qualified candidates. Glover was selected in part for his proven instructional leadership across all student grades. One of his greatest strengths is focusing on student achievement and outcome. The Board and Central Office staff welcomed Mr. Glover in early July. All TISD staff had the opportunity to meet him during the past few days of in-service.
Glover has 26 years of experience in public education. He has served as a teacher, assistant principal, principal, assistant superintendent, and superintendent in Texas public school districts. His tenure includes positions with Fort Hancock, Llano, Brownfield, and Luling ISDs. 22 years of his experience is in school administration. This is his family’s first move to the Texas Panhandle and he indicates that they have received a warm “Swisher County welcome”.
“Great things are happening in our school and I am proud to serve with you. My door is always open if you have questions, ideas or would just like to visit. As we continue to move forward, I encourage everyone to stay focused on our Mission and Goals and remember that in Tulia ISD, kids are going to win!” Glover says.
Mr. Glover’s wife, Becky Glover, is employed as the Tulia High School counselor. She has 21 years’ experience and will be an asset to the district as well. Tim and Becky Glover celebrated 26 years of marriage in July and have two children. Their daughter, Baylee, will graduate in December from Texas A&M with a degree in biomedical science and their son, Max, just completed his first year at Texas Tech studying wind energy.
