Welcome to Mrs. Criswell's 6th grade Contemporary World Cultures page! I am looking forward to a wonderful and exciting 2018-2019 school year and having your child in my class. Communication is key; with that being said, I will openly work with you and your child so that he or she may be successful in my classroom.
I am a graduate of Texas Tech University (Wreck 'Em) with a B.S. in Early Childhood Education. I am starting my 8th year in education, and this is my 3rd year to teach this curriculum. My husband, Kelly, grew up in Tulia. We moved here in 2013 and have since added three adorable sons to our family. Our oldest, Kellan, is four and will be starting Pre-Kindergarten at Highland Elementary this year. We also have two year old identical boy twins, Koen and Ky. I will speak of them probably a little too often as the year goes on. What can I say? I'm one proud mommy! =)
I have been busy getting my classroom and lessons ready for that first day of school that is quickly approaching. As we tour all around the world this year, we will cover the geography, economy, culture, history, and government for each of our continents/areas of the world. All of this ties into our TEKS objectives. It is a lot of information that is fun and exciting. I look forward to introducing your child to unfamiliar areas of the world.
If you ever have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me. My email address is firstname.lastname@example.org. My conference is 6th period from 12:58-1:48.
