Art - what does it mean? is it painting, sculptures, crafts or just drawings? Do you think about art galleries or art supplies when you think of art?
Taking an art class will help you see and appreciate art; to see the beauty and appreciate the talent behind a piece of art work. maybe you will learn whether or not you like contemporary or abstract art. is only art work done by a Master Craftsman worth anything? What about work that your three-year did? what about work that was done by a master but it looks like it was done by a three-year old? Would you like to learn to draw? Paint? Be Creative? Do Sculpture? Play with clay? Come to Art!

Joycelyn Welch has been teaching at THS since 2009. She graduated from West Texas A&M University with a Bachelor's of Art in Art Education and Journalism Education. She worked in the business world for 16 years before returning to teaching full-time. She loves drawing although she works in all mediums. her favorite subject to teach is portraits. Joycelyn lives in Tulia , has two sons, one studying to be a CRNA and one at Texas Tech Health Science Center studying research.
