THS Welding/Metal Trades competed at the 2025 State SkillsUSA contest in Corpus Christi. Mr. Hernandez took 15 students with 9 job exhibits, and 1 sculpture. All contestants had to interview with a judge looking at the project, the contestants themselves, and their notebooks.
These students have worked throughout the year in welding class, while also coming in on the weekends, through the holiday breaks, and other times they may find to be in the shop.
We are extremely proud of them all. If you happen to see these students please help us congratulate them on a job well done.

Construction students competed at Skills USA state contest in Corpus Christi.
All six THS participants received a Superior rating and a blue ribbon. This year part of their score was an interview defending their project. These students all did very well answering the judges questions. These projects take months - usually lots of trial and error and out of the box thinking and problem solving to get to the finished product.
We are extremely proud of these students for representing Tulia High School the way they do. Way to go!
