Federal Programs

In compliance with the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), Tulia Independent School District provides supplemental instruction through its Title I, Part A program. The purpose of this program is to ensure that all students, particularly low-achieving students have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education and reach proficiency on challenging state academic achievement standards and state academic assessments.

Title II funds are utilized in the area of professional development for teacher and principal training and recruitment.

District-wide alcohol and drug awareness and prevention education, as well as bully prevention and computer safety is covered by Title IV funds.                

Migrant Students will be identified and services provided. A student is considered migrant if they move to seek or obtain work in the area of agriculture.

Title I, Part A is a federally-funded program through the Every Student Succeeds Act/Elementary & Secondary Education Act. The purpose of Title I, Part A is to ensure that all children have a fair, equal and significant opportunity to obtain a high quality education and reach, at a minimum, proficiency on challenging state academic achievement standards and state academic assessments.

All Tulia ISD campuses are Title I Schools and implement Title I, Part A school-wide programs.

  • Tulia Elementary: Grades Pre-Kindergarten - 5th

  • Tulia Junior High: Grades 6th - 8th

  • Tulia High School: Grades 9th - 12th

Title II, Part A is a district-wide program with the purpose of increasing academic achievement of all students through professional development and recruitment.

Title IV, Part A Student Support and Academic Enrichment (SSAE) is a district-wide program with the purpose to provide supplemental activities addressing well-rounded education, safe and healthy services and effective use of technology.
